In the heart of Sydney’s busy CBD, beneath the lights and the noise, there are men and women who quietly struggle to make it through each day. Some sleep on cold concrete, some carry the weight of stories too heavy for words, and many simply long for a moment of kindness — a reminder that they are not forgotten.
As Muslims living in this beautiful city, we are taught that compassion is not selective, and mercy is not seasonal. Our faith calls us to uplift every neighbour, to stand with the vulnerable, and to bring warmth where the world feels cold. Helping those experiencing homelessness is not an act of charity alone — it is an act of gratitude, a way of honouring the community that we are blessed to be part of.
